Annuaires

The Annuaire is an annual publication from the General Direction which contains information on the state of the Institute, biographical sketches of the deceased and history of the Provinces and ministries. The Annuaire collection is considered to be a historical encyclopedia of the Viatorian community for those years. The volumes located in the research area (Set 1) are a mix of different printings, some bound in black covers, some in green covers, one in burgundy. Some have 1 year per binding, some have more than one year. Together they are a complete set of the years 1890-1968. The initial volumes - 1890-1915 - are written in French only. The others are a combination of French and English for the Province of Chicago, U.S. Also available is a General Index for 1890-1951 and a Supplemental Index for 1952-1968. The index is comprised of three sections: 1) Generalities,e.g. conferences, religious life 2) Religious Clerics of St. Viator, i.e. individuals and 3) Government and Works, i.e. provinces and institutions.
