Scope and Contents
The Novitiate logbooks are the daily journaling of the novices to record what happened at the house. They are hand-written by various novices and not usually signed to identify the scribe. In some logs, at the front of the book, the scribes are listed with dates they wrote. Many of the logbooks are very fragile and brittle. Pages are coming out and the spines are broken. Handle with care.

Scope and Contents
The newsletter, The Lector, originated in October 1939 with the title SINITE PARVULOS VENIRE AD ME. It was a Novitiate venture - the first issue only a one page report on local happenings. The second issue contained the Provincial Directory. By the third issue, it had become a news vehicle for what Viatorians were doing within the Province.
